Grand River Chorus Seeks New Members
Grand River Chorus is seeking new members to add their voices to the choir. The mixed voice, community choir, based in Brantford, Ontario, is actively recruiting singers of all ages and experience levels.
GRC tenor, Andy Blackwood, can’t help but sing the choir’s praises and invites choir-curious folks to join him. “Singing is a challenging and joyful activity,” he says. “Being part of a choir stretches your creative, vocal, and social skills. It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends and give back to the community.”
Choir members rehearse every Monday from 7:30 – 10:00 pm, and perform four concerts a year. In addition to practicing and performing, choristers take part in choir fundraising, social events, and skill-building workshops.
Share the Love of Choral Singing
“Putting on high-quality choral concerts is our top priority,” says Blackwood. “But it is also important that choristers have an enjoyable, collaborative experience. The GRC allows singers to not only sing wonderful music, but to learn to be better singers and to enjoy the company of others who share their love of choral music.”
Join a Vibrant Arts Community
As Brantford and the surrounding area grows and evolves, the choir hopes to keep pace by growing and diversifying its membership.
