Grand River Chorus celebrates 25 years of singing this season! The choir is marking the milestone with a spectacular year of concerts, new partnerships, and community projects with a theme of “25 years of music in our hearts.”

Grand River Chorus has been an integral part of the performing arts scene in Brantford and surrounding areas since it was founded in 1999. An early member of Brantford’s arts and culture scene, Grand River Chorus has kept pace with its growing community. The Chorus passionately supports the performing arts. As Brantford and surrounding areas continue to grow and evolve, Grand River Chorus hopes to cement itself as a source for entertainment and inspiration for another 25 years.

Grand River Chorus History

The choir performed its first choral concert in the spring of 1999 and became a registered charitable organization the following year. Grand River Chorus continues to operate as a registered charity today and is supported by generous sponsors and community donors like you.

It has grown from 40 to 60 members and has expanded its repertoire to over 300 songs, including several works written specially for Grand River Chorus by talented choristers and friends. The choir has traveled abroad to sing in Austria, Germany, and Czech Republic and continues to feature skilled local musicians and soloists in its concerts.
